AidaPay has been a pioneer in providing a smart solution for utility bill payments, airtime, and data bundle recharges, and electricity bill payments through WhatsApp. With over three years of operation, customer feedback has driven the decision to redesign the application to enhance user experience and address evolving market demands. AidaPay sought to reposition itself beyond a bill payment platform, highlighting QR payment accessibility on the dashboard as a crucial aspect. The WhatsApp bot serves as a Unique Value Proposition (UVP), distinguishing it from direct competitors like Bill Point, VT Pass, Merrybills, Club Konnect, and Aimtoget, as well as indirect competitor Jumia Pay.
In my role as a Product Manager, I worked closely with my co Product Manager, product designer, and stakeholders. My responsibilities ranged from gathering requirements, understanding the user needs and pain points, drafting the customer journey map, defining the product roadmap, and acceptance criteria, and overseeing the entire design process.
